Standing tall
#throwback Google has helpfully reminded me that we were in Vik, Iceland, on this day four years ago, on Reynisfjara beach to be precise, clambering up pillars of basalt, walking down lava crushed into fine black sand.
Further up there were views of Reynisdrangar – the three columns that rise out of the ocean like teeth, and a wide, but shallow cave (called Halsanefshiller).
